STAY THE COURSE! LSP is the most corrupt Dept I have ever seen and all of their Troopers need to be retrained and those Guilty of abuse should be immediately fired! Typical arrogance by elected officials and appointed officials!
More popcorn please!🍿🍿🍿
It’s definitely not the same organization I was proud work for and represent. The leadership is now is not based on “what you know” and a good leader. It’s all about “who you know”. I will withhold my comments about training until I watch the video. I will say they have been contradictions in training between defensive tactics and firearms on handling certain scenarios & situations which confused a lot of young troopers. When I informed the instructor and raised concerns, they got into a back & forth yelling match.
I agree 100%! I have been very disappointed in the “good for me but not for thee” style leadership currently at the helm.
RETIRED. Many years ago, when retrainer in defensive tactics was going on, the rank of Captain, maybe even Lieutenant and above, never trained with the Sergeants or below. I don’t know if that’s still the practice. The upper brass had their own day., sounded like a picnic. I don’t know why, they were still troopers even though they had different insignias on their uniform. That never sat right with me. If you wore the uniform, you should have all trained together.
The command staff still have their own training day but the lieutenants still train with the sergeants & troopers.
Well, hear my comment about the video. “Lack of training” is a far fetched excuse. That’s just being an a**hole, and there’s no training or excuse for that. The only lack of training is LSP policy states only handcuffs in the back unless if there’s some type of reason. If custody was handed over to the other department, the trooper needed to let the other department handle their prisoner and/or just simply leave.
guvnah Laundry is a one termer. spoke to someone in St. Martinville and they are embarrassed at his retardation level. BTW at one time St. Martinville had the highest retardation rate…IN AMERICA!
Help me understand why any agencies would not release a public records request when that agency knows it will cost them, and it’s taxpayers’ money. Their budget should be reduced to reflect the loss of taxpayer money.
Let’s work on a bill that requires reduction of the public agency budget for lost law suits.
