Comite River Diversion Canal Project is a boondoggle for District taxpayers but a bonanza of cash for JBE’s “buddy” Larry Bankston and others.

Sound Off Louisiana founder Robert Burns provides the following highly-detailed evidence that, while the Comite River Diversion Canal Project has been a boondoggle for local district taxpayers, it’s been nothing short of a bonanza of cash for Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards’ close friend and political ally, convicted felon Larry S. Bankston and others.

Burns lays out the case for local taxpayers having been fleeced entailing
the Comite River Diversion Canal project, while the politically-connected,
including JBE’s close ally, Larry S. Bankston, have benefited mightily
from the floundering project.

Here’s a priceless quote from McKay’s article above:

“Apparently the corrupt former state senator is an all-star among Democrat attorneys in Louisiana; either that or all the rest of the Democrat lawyers only know how to work slip-and-fall cases or legacy lawsuits against oil companies.
