On June 1, 2015, Louisiana Treasurer John Neely Kennedy stated his belief that Louisiana’s tax exemptions and credits can only be rolled back or partially rescinded via a 2/3 vote of the Louisiana Legislature.  Eleven days later, Louisiana House Clerk Alfred “Butch” Speer lambasted Kennedy’s assertion and stated that he could defeat a lawsuit by Kennedy, LABI, the LOGA, or any other entity “without even breaking a sweat.”
