Self-professed “buddy” of former Sheriff Strain engages in profanity-laced, vulgar tirade over statements made by activists during jury deliberations of Strain’s rape, incest charges.

Self-professed “buddy” of former long-time St. Tammany Parish Sheriff Jack Strain launches into a profanity-laced, vulgar tirade directed at community activists Belinda Parker-Brown and her husband, Carl Brown, as they broadcast statements over a PA system during jury deliberations of Strain’s trial on charges of rape, incest, sexual battery, and indecent behavior with a juvenile.  Strain was subsequently convicted on all eight (8) counts for which he was charged.

On Monday, November 8, 2021, a St. Tammany Parish jury found former long-time Sheriff Jack Strain guilty on all counts of aggravated rape (4 counts), aggravated incest (2 counts), sexual battery, and indecent behavior with a juvenile.

Community activists Carl Brown and his wife, Belinda Parker-Brown, founder of Louisiana United International, called us late on Friday evening (November 5, 2021) and requested that we appear as the case was to be presented to the jury so that they could make public statements about the two-week trial (Parker-Brown provides about 30 seconds of statements near the end of the WWL-TV feature linked above).

We were more than happy to accommodate.  As we got the “lay of the land” in terms of the courtroom building, etc., we heard one statement made by an observer on the courthouse steps.  He said, “Why can’t someone just go over and unplug her (Brown’s) speaker?”  Once we got our own camera up to begin recording Brown, she was soon confronted by a self-professed “buddy” of Strain.  Before he finished, he launched into a profanity-laced, vulgar tirade against Brown’s husband, Carl.  Let’s take a look (WARNING:  Highly offensive, profane, vulgar language is contained on the following video clip):

Belinda Parker-Brown and her husband, Carl, make public statements about Strain’s trial during jury deliberations and are confronted by a self-professed “buddy” of Strain.  WARNING:  Video contains extremely offensive, foul, and vulgar language by Strain’s self-professed “buddy.”

Just another sad episode entailing law enforcement in the State of Louisiana.
