With LSP Retirement Board Chairman Marcel admitting, “this is the first I’m hearing of this,” he commits for the Board to “review your case” on former LSP Sgt. Galmiche’s “not voluntary” retirement.

On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, former Louisiana State Police (LSP) Sgt. Huey Galmiche delivers nothing short of a fire and brimstone sermon regarding his frustrations about the circumstances under which his “not voluntary retirement” was obtained by two LSP Captains shortly after he was charged with skip scanning at Wal Mart.

Of all of the features we’ve published in 2026, by far the most traffic and video views are for our May 13, 2026 feature of former LSP Sgt. Huey Galmiche alleging he was forced to retire while handcuffed to a desk.

On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, Galmiche appeared before the Louisiana State Police Retirement Board at its regular meeting.  Galmiche held nothing back, and the Board was very generous in the amount of time he was allotted both to state his case fully as well as field one question from active trooper Thurman Miller.  The video says it all, and this is a video blog, so here’s Galmiche’s fire and brimstone presentation (we believe it is very, very worth the watch):

6/24/26:  Active Trooper Thurman Miller looks on as Galmiche makes his case before the LSPRB.  Miller would also pose a question after Galmiche concluded his presentation.

This is a video blog, and the above video says all anyone needs to know, so we are not going to add a single word on our part entailing the content of the above video.  It speaks for itself.

We appreciate everyone’s dedication to this blog, which celebrated its 11th anniversary on the fourth of this month.  It has certainly been a very wild ride!
