On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, former Louisiana State Police (LSP) Sgt. Huey Galmiche delivers nothing short of a fire and brimstone sermon regarding his frustrations about the circumstances under which his “not voluntary retirement” was obtained by two LSP Captains shortly after he was charged with skip scanning at Wal Mart.

On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, Galmiche appeared before the Louisiana State Police Retirement Board at its regular meeting. Galmiche held nothing back, and the Board was very generous in the amount of time he was allotted both to state his case fully as well as field one question from active trooper Thurman Miller.
